My Fibaro Smoke Sensor drives me crazy. The last few mounth I had always problem with beeping for none reason like other writing here in the forum. Exclude and include in the Home Center 2 Version 4.037 did help only a few days.

2 days ago I bought a powersupply for the smoke sensor. After a few hours the sensor started beeping again because of empty batteries! Does anybody has a solution for me to fix this?

I don't think the smoke sensors should be used. There are too many here with problems. A smoke sensor should work properly, your life depends on it. I returned mine.

They work great for me

exclude it and include it again wait for 5 min restart HC2 and you will see it is fully charged in about 5 min

You need to enrol the device with the Power supply option you wish to keep... I.e if you enrol the device with the battery connected, then change to Power Supply, It will continually look for the battery...

It's in the manual

A change in source of power for any battery-operated z-wave device would usually cause a change in the operating mode and requires an exclude-include process on the controller (i.e. HC2) to allow it to function properly.

I think I have seen this written in Fibaro's devices' manual as well as other makes (e.g. Remotec ZXT-120).

In short your situation:

ask new smoke sensor, because that one is no good. You can spend hours to try fixing it, won't work trust me.

It's your warranty, and even after one year still warranty because when you use electronic devices in a normal way a smoke sensor have to work without a problem for some years.

besides that it's must be a live saving smoke sensor not irritating sensor.

Thanks for your help. I excluded the smoke sensor with batterie and included the sensor with the powersupply again. We will see how long the sensor will work properly. Right now it has no power problems and the sensor not beeping.
