Please share your expirience when moving from Vera to HC2. Do we have to exclude all the devices from the Vera in order to add them to the HC2? Does anybody tried so far to integrate 1 product (for instance a 3kw relay) in Vera and in the same time to HC2?

I am asking because a lot of people are giving up their Vera nowadays. And since the devices are already installed do we have to walk around the house with the HC2 in hands in order to be as close as possible to the devices?

Cheers!

i would prefer an antenna extension myself and walk about with that

They safest bet with z-wave is to exclude then include.

Your 2 options would be a long Ethernet and extension cord then walk around, or add your devices near the HC2 before you move them to their final position, or as Dean stated use an antennae extension.

We already had some problems trying to include  3kw relay on vera am starting to think that the exclusion process will be the same pain in the ass...

Vera did not find the device... Now if it is not able to find them when we are trying to exclude them it will be "fantastic"...

Good luck, I've done it: moved from Vera to Fibaro thinking it would solve the problems I had with Vera... but the true is that I have another problems and I miss the open nature of Vera... with all plugins developed by the community in the market and the hability to use 3rd party APPs like Imperihome.

But not all is worst, if you're lucky you don't have any of the devices that doesn't work well with Fibaro or the need for external plugins and a stable firmware, then you will have a more reliable controller.

    Good luck,

I changed from Vera Lite to HCL.

The best ting I ever done (almost).

Yes you have to exclude from Vera before you can include on HC.

I was able to include all components in our house to the HCL without moving the HCL. Just used my laptop and included one by one.

I really like the HCL, very easy compared to the Vera, and better range. So no problems at all.

    Hi

This does not seem good, how long have HC2 been out! still beta software ?

and you can only control the lighting with it, had hoped that the plugin would be more, that can control other things with it, that you can with Vera UI7,

disappointed HC2 owner who had a Vera edge before.
