FGBS-001 sensing speed

I've build a setup for my doorbell that causes a 6vRelais to shortly make contact.

I've connected two wires from the relais to a zwave doorsensor, so I could start a scene in HC2 when the doorbell rings.

But when the doorbell rings, the doorsensor is too slow to pick u the momentary contact made by the relais.

I was wondering: what is the sensing speed of the FGBS-001 can it trigger a scene if it's triggered very shortly? Or should it be triggered for instance 1 second to be able to sense something?

The speed is indeed quite low but it does not need 1 second; slower should work. You could probably just use a diode and a capacitor to make sure that the pulse is as long as the entire push and not just one phase of the signal.

Thanks for your quick reply. I'm not sure if a capacitor would work in my case, because I use a Skybell. I'm assuming that the skybell itself uses a very short interval. But it's worth a try.

    thanks!

ah if it is a DC voltage it probably won't make a difference I guess. But if it is a standard 6v AC it might help.

How good is the Skybell? does it work well? Can you integrate the video in the HC2?

the skybell doesnt quite match my expectations just yet.

I'm still waiting for the ability to see who called when you're out.

It's an anounced functionality, but is not available yet.

Also: there is no API, zo if you want to connect it to HC2 (like me), you will have to use a fgbs-001.

the wordt part is that only 2 out of 10 times someone rings, an actual video feed is available.

in alle other cases there is a timeout. (on wifi and on 4g connections).

I just finished up connecting the fgbs-001 to my skybell and I can confirm that it's quick enough to sense the button press of the skybell
