How come push works sometimes?

My HC2 is still on 3.6 and we have two iPhone connected with it. 

My wife has an iPhone 5S and i have an iPhone 6.

 

Have had some trouble with push notifications since the version that did just that.

 

But now my wife ALWAYS gets notifications and i get them sometimes, how can that be? I would understand if i never got them ...

It's no difference if i'm on the local Wifi or mobile connection ...

 

Tried erasing app, reinstalling, disconnected & reconnect to HC2 ...

 

Any suggestions?

Type "push notification" in the search field at the top and you'll go crazy. But I'll summarize it for you. Anything from using 3-rd party apps to dancing around the HC2 three times (make sure to start in the east!) has been suggested. I never saw something repeatable. Not for 3.X and not for 4.X

I've read quite a bit about it earlier, but what i don't understand is how it can work sometimes and sometimes not without anything being changed in the setup??

Once again i tried to delete my device from HC2, erased the app, reinstalled and reconnected. Changed scenes to the "new" device. Worked three - four times with push then no more ...

My wife's work all the time ...

Yep, same same! I get push sometimes, my wife always! Since the command to send push to the two phones comes after each other in the scene i was thinking if the HC2 sometimes misses to send to me due to some kind of conflict when sending two push after each other?

I recently found out that Push works fine when not connected to my WiFi... On WiFi it doesn't work... Strange... Using a iPhone 6+...

I have the same issue as this but the other way round. I get push notifications but my partner does not.

 

When it was setup, worked ace for a few days and then just stopped on her phone totally! 

 

Removed and reinstalled the application, created a new user, changed the scripts to support this and still no joy.

 

We use the push notifications for when doors are opened and closed, fire alarms and doorbell using a fibaro windows contact sensor.

well, I Just upgraded phones with work to an i6, not brilliant, push doesn't work at all.

It was working for me on older 5.

 

One thing, how do you allocate a phone to a user though ? 

For instance, how does HC2 know who belongs to which phone in the list ?

What am I not remembering to do, .. ..

I think it's done thru Access Control. The phones are listed there.

Yep, thanks Raj, but it was more a confused question which I'm now nutting out ..

I think what I should ask is  ;

 

How do I find the iOS device number to push to ?

 

I can push as many messages as I like now with a simple test script and want to try the others .. although it has just dawned on me I can block script the user numbers easier and utilise them in lua script .. too easy.

Update : I can push to all my i devices, under a variety of versions, both jailbroken and stock, on wifi and on 4g ..

I just found the phone to push to by using blocks to get the number for each i device (not user which I initially thought it was) .. as i didn't have krikoffs toolkit installed here.

so far .. all have asked me what i'm playing at .. so it must be all good ..
