I'm wondering how long a Fibaro 2 x 1.5 kW switch is supposed to last. I'm using a lot of them around the house and for the last couple of months some have stopped working. They have been operational for about 2 years and all they do is switch garden lights on and off. On at dawn and off at dusk.

What catched my eye was that the ones that died are all version 1.4. With died I mean, dead node in HC2 and not able to switch manually. Even after a power cycle they're just dead, fried? I don't know. During their lifetime they might have switched 1500 times max. Which I don't think is a lot.

Should I replace these faulty switches with new Fibaro swtiches version 2.1 (or up). Or should I use Qubino? Or are they as reliable as Fibaro? To be honest, after the HC2 version 4 disaster I lost all faith in Fibaro.

Are you able to delete them from the system, or no response at all? 1500 switches is not much for this type of device.

Are they dead or stuck in the "on" position? Do they switch LED or CFL lamps (with electronic transformer)?

They are not stuck in the "on" position. The light is off and it cannot be turned on anymore. Not by hand via the attached switch and not via HC2. The Fibaro switch just does not work anymore. All switches that died were used to turn on/off LED bulbs (European size E27) of 2 watts.

But they are visible in interface properly? Is communication correct when you click change of state in interface? If so, the most probable reason is the failure of relay due to non-resistive load. Tap the modules hard, with e.g screwdriver handle to temporary fix them, if that works that means the module it self is all right, but the relay failed, such modules are valid for warranty procedure of course.

No they are displayed as dead nodes. The devices are broken, out of order, not doing anything anymore. So it does not seem the relay is stuck. I don't know what's wrong.

I had the same problem a while ago. I change the light bulb to a old 60 watt and it started to work again.

If module does not respond to mechanical switches even after resetting, please send them to warranty. Support will give you all information needed if you require any assistance with that process.
