Fibaro dimmer: how to change status after Powerloss.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I was wondering if it is possible to change the status on the fibaro dimmer after power loss?

Example, if on after powerloss switch off.

If OFF after powerloss, switch on.

I know the dimmer Can save the current status after the loss of power, but how do i get it to change the status from on to off.

Maybe just toggle device state at controller reboot? I know it is an overkill, but if your controller does not have emergency power supply and is not rebooted often, this will do.

I dont it can do the trick,

I need a way to change the status after the dimmer has lost power, is that possible?

The reason is because, i cant give the dimmer constant voltage but only connect it after the Wall switch, with the possibility to turn it on and off on the Wall switch.

There is a possibility to give it a short power outtage from the Wall switch.

Maybe just toggle device state at controller reboot? I know it is an overkill, but if your controller does not have emergency power supply and is not rebooted often, this will do.

Ok, I assumed you meant power loss in whole building. If it was just for the Dimmer it will not work indeed. It is generally no advised to disable mains powered devices since they take part in Z-wave signal routing.
