HC2 3.6: Using temperature from devices as room temperature

Question

Posted

I have multiple devices that collect temperature. (One thermostat and one qubino dimmer.) Fibaro HC2 (3.600) does show the temperature of these, but it doesn't allow me to choose this temperature in the room config. (It says that there are no temperature sensors.) Is there something I'm missing here?

See screenshot - both the dimmer and the thermostat have a temperature (which are approximately the same, yay) - but it still says "there are no sensors of this type in the room".

This is due to device representation in v3, if you do not have any additional temperature endpoint (visible as thermometer) you will not be able to set such device as main room sensor. For example in v4 it is possible for Hostmann thermostats.
