So can i have version 4 please for my HCL? You selling hardware but now HCL users are left in the dark, realy can't believe this!!!!

This is device that was released after premiere of 3.594, hence it was supported in following versions. Update to v4 is not available so far, we are working on it and it will be possible to update your device soon. We do not state anywhere that this device is compatible with older versions of firmware, we simply could not assure that due to changes introduced in this sensor.

So don't bring the Smoke sensors on the market or give HCL users the update 4 also before you introduce new hardware!! Now you sell hardware via resellers and don't inform them at all, you don't give * about the HCL users!

The version 4 update isn't coming for months just like the battery and GSM module, i really can't believe i bought this crap!

    This is really bad news

/emoticons/default_icon_redface.gif" alt="" /> - I have been waiting for the smoke sensors as well since my insurance company only accepts sensors that are fully in line with the European Standard 14604.

@Fibaro: this move is really disappointing! Please ensure that the new smoke sensors can be used with HCL vers. 3.594 as soon as possible!

Moreover, I have downloaded your user manual and it is clearly stated therein: 'Compatible with any Z-Wave or Z-Wave+ Controller' which is not true given your above statement....

    Please work on this!

wow, this is actually first thing that really surprise me wiith Fibaro. Guys please, even before the 4.xx update for HCL make it work! Make hotfix or whatever. I just sent 2 smoke sensors to HCL customers as I didnt know this information.

Please, this is a major issue, it is not a BUG, this is supporting your own sensors with your own system, this should never happen! Seriously, I am that kind of person that understand, that it is not easy to make update and integrate it to 100 000 systems without the problem, so I never complain on your HC2 updates, but this is different, this seems to me really like you forgot about HCL users.

Is this still the case? I've just ordered some Fibaro stuff, including the HCL, 3 motionsensors and this smokesensor. The website where I ordered stated nothing (that I can find) about compatibility problems between HCL and any of the sensors.

I've asked the dealer to check it out before they send me the smokesensor, would be a shame if it doesn't work.

Are the motionsensors supported on the HCL or are they also unsupported?

Update: I've had contact with the dealer and apparently there should not be a problem with the v1 smokesensor, but the v2 is a problem. I'm getting the v1 so I'm in the clear.

Some clearing up of the different versions of these sensors by Fibaro may be in order. Or just supply HCL users with the update...

No other device than FGSD-002 causes this problem, it is only device that was released after update and ensuring backward compatibility was not possible to implement. It will be enabled by update, that should come out really soon.

Hi, I have a HC2 and are also having difficulties including the FGSD-002-EN-A-v1.01. Are you Fibaro guys sure this only applies to HCL?

Been feeling like a retard the last couple of hours because I couldn't manage an inclusion. Anyone else having issues with including the new smoke detector?  BTW I'm on 4.056..

@vipernor There is no known issue with FGSD on HC2 4.056. Are you in direct range of controller? Is module reacting at all if you try to e.g. test it?

Well, then it's probably me then.

The module is placed on top of and beside of the controller. The module is reacting as it should when pressing the B -button ..going in to test mode and blinking with different lights.

If I try taking out the battery and pressing the B button for 3 seconds, putting in the battery again and then try to include the module, there is a quick red blink hopefully indicating that this module is ready for inclusion.

However, nothing happens when pressing the B button quickly 3 times. I have FGSD modules of older version successfully included to the HC2, but this one seems to be as collaborate as my better half when she has her period.

Shouldn't the red light that indicate "ready for inclusion" stay red for some time?

Red/green light after inserting battery just shows if device is included to any network or not. Make sure both devices are the same frequency. If it is matching and FGSD does not include after reset I think it may be valid for warranty return.
