Don't know why, but I got stuck on the following problem. Since I have been changing batteries in de FGK-101 door/window sensor, each battery holds up to 3 days. After this period, the capacity is very low.

I haven't changed something in the parameters of the FGK-101. The sensor is fixed at the front door. This door will be opened and closed approx. 10 times a day.

Can somebody explain me why each battery holds up so short?

I have 2 other door/window sensors in the house, but they work ok.

Maybe, just maybe, the sensors got a very short wake-up interval programmed into them (by accident, some Z-wave miscommunication, ...) - it's hard to tell if that happened (there is no diagnostic tool that can show this). Maybe there is a way to find out: if you change something like Parameter 2 "LED turned on" and, each time you toggle the option, it takes effect after a very short time (instead of the standard 4000 s) this could be an indication. I once accidentally set a different brand of device to 4 seconds and found out by this method. Anyway, I think the quickest way to solve is to exclude & included the devices. This resets them + makes sure you have the latest template and al parameters are saved as expected. If the sensor are glued with double sided tape, please make sure to press the battery so the outside tamper switch is activated when clicking on the inside switch. After a while, the tape can expand so the tamper switch isn't activated and then the device can be difficult to include...

Hi

I always stick a bit of double sided tape in the hole where the tamper switch is but I leave the protecting film on it so that it wont stick, That seems to stop the problem with the tamper switch becoming inactive.

I think I have found something strange. Every 3 or 4 seconds you can see that the sensor tells this message: device is awake. The other door/window sensors do not have this problem/message.

I think I have found the problem.

The interval to awake this sensor has been set to 0. The other sensors are set on 4000, so I have changed this to 4000. Don't know why this is changed

I have exactly the same problem since this week with one of my sensors. I replaced the battery and excluded and included the device 2 days ago, but today it was down again. The interval is also 0 instead of 4000.

So I was right when I suspected a very short wake-up interval. Any idea how it got set to 0? Was it right before or after a certain action?
