Alarm Code problem in v4 - What property triggers scene when you disarm a door?

Question

Posted

Hi All,

I have a few scenes which make up my personal house alarm. They worked fine in 3.590 but I've noticed in 4.042 I was having problems.

In 3.590 I used the following to trigger a scene based on door being breached or not and being armed or not. Every time a door was 'Armed'/'Disarmed' in iOS it would trigger the scene based on the 'armed' property e.g.:

-- 127 being my door sensor

--[[
%% properties
127 value
127 armed
%% globals
--]]

However, in v4, it triggers the scene when I 'ARM' the door in iOS but when I 'DISARM' it the scene doesn't trigger!!!! Aaaargh!

So, is there a separate property now which relates to Disarming? Maybe 'alarmExclude' perhaps? Or is something else up that I am not aware of?

I don't really know what to do if the scene wont trigger on Disarm of a door sensor? Any help much appreciated I'm a bit desparate as my Alarm's quite complicated and I slightly buggered without it!

KR, Dave:)

Not that anyone helped....BUT, just in case it helps someone else......

I noticed that my problem (with code that worked fine previously) is that, in v4, code is running a LOT quicker than in v3. Consequently the reason it seemed not to be working was because it is working so quick that countscenes > 1 was being invoked and caused the issues. To fix I just put in some delays in the Virtual Device that invokes the scene and, it works again
