Question
Guest reiniertc
I'm replacing conventional bulbs with HUE bulbs, and came across the issue that the HU bulbs cant be dimmed like regular bulbs.
So I created a setup in which I can dim the HUE bulbs with a fibaro dimmer.
What's needed for this setup:
- The dimmed HUE bulbs are all connected to a continuos power source
- a fibaro dimmer, it doesnt have to have a light source connected to it, just power is enough
- a Hue user in the hue bridge
- a lua script that checks for changes in de the dim value of the dimmer
- a virtual device with the code to actually dim the hue's.
Virtual device:
I created a virtual device with 1 button, with this code:

LUA script:
the "5 value" refers to the ID of my fibaro dimmer
