Hi all,
I've purchased the Swiid cord switch, which is a binary switch and therefore not able to communicate back the state of the switch.
Right now the status in HC2 interface and Fibaro mobile app is only updated correctly when I turn on/off the switch through the HC2 interface or through the Fibaro app on my mobile device. Once I power on/off the switch manually by pressing the switch, the status change is not noticed by HC2 ofcourse.
Although this behaviour is normal for binary switches, it is a bit annoying because when I manually power off the switch while HC2 still believes it is on, the power consumption report gets poluted with wrong data, plus it sometimes is also confusing to understand when you are on a remote location whether the lamp is actually on or off.
I read on the web that it is possible to create a virtual device for this switch, which then allows me to get realtime status changes communicated through this virtual device (.. by some additional coding). Is this possible, and if yes, how to set it up and what additional code I need to use?
Anyone maybe able to help me out?
Thanks and best regards,
Mark
