excuse me in advance for the following complaints, but I'm totally disappointed with Fibaro Hardware reliability.

however actually I laugh, because in september 2014 my fibaro hc2 usb pen drive got broken... Fibaro support doesn't have planned a downloadable recovery procedure or a simple replacement of the usb stick, they replaced all HC2 (backup and data included), so I lost all my configurations and 3 weeks to get it back. Anyway, seen the totally unreliable behavior, meanwhile I migrated home automation devices to a new system, completely opensource and definitively inexpensive...

When my HC2 went back after reparation (only turned on to see that it's working again) I haven't sold it, I left powered off in a drawer for 8 months.
Today, even if I don't have any need to HC2, I was curious to try the new 4.x features, so I powered ON HC2, and suprise! it remain stuck in the intel boot logo... doesn't boot at all!!!
and I repeat, I repaired it just 8 month ago! and it remained OFF until today! LOL!

only removing the usb stick, the system boot regularly (so this is again a problem of usb stick), but without usb stick the system is unusable of course

Why this post full of complaints? because Fibaro sell a completely unreliable and expensive system!

What's next? I must send back all my HC2? still no plan to replace "only" USB pen drives? you are all crazy.

My HC2 can remain powered off for many other months, I will not miss at all.

Now you can censure my post.

Greetings

Can you contact support? We will mount recovery stick manually after power-up and check its condition. It is hard to say anything more without access to the device.

3 months ago I contacted FIBARO Support because I lost one of the main features of the Fibaro HC2, remote control.

Each mail gets replied to around 2 weeks later at best!

When finally they get to connect through TeamViewer, they realise the root password has changed (HOW? I still don't know)

They then ask me to allow traffic on port 22 and 80. They then for over 1month are SUPPOSEDLY trying to solve this issue with their developpers.

So 3 months later I need to send them the HC2.

The worst thing is, FIBARO doesn't seem to be recruiting people in accordance of their growth. They are growing quickly but don't seem to recruit people for helpdesk / support.

A shame but I guess we fell for marketing

JIN, what OpenSource solution have you chosen? Using what Controler? Razberry?
