Question

Hi there

I've just moved house and will be putting in a new fibaro system. The home has an existing DSC wireless alarm system and I see that there is now a DSC plugin for fibaro. I am trying to find out what controller or keypad models or communication add-on i need to add to the Alarm system to allow it to communicate?

Does anyone know any details or what controllers the plugin is compatible with?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks!

You can use IT-100 for serial communication and Global Cache to make it work with HC.

Hi,

can we use a USB-to-RS232 from the usb port of the HC2? or just the Global Cache?

with the plugin you have, do we need to setup the global cahe? of the plugin is already configure?

regards,

Patrick

So the DSC plugin on the HC2 requires the IT-100 and global cache ? So then the IP address etc for the plugin is the global cache ? Where can I find further info about the DSC plugin/implementation and functionality?

    Thanks!

You have to use some gateway in local network, USB ports are not available.

You are right, IP of a gateway should be put in plugin. Basically that is all you need, further communication is done by DSC itself, Global Cache is kind of "transparent". You can always ask support for assistance.
