Best way to find "device id" of mobile client?

Question

Posted

I have a ton of old ipads/androids/etc in my HC2.

How can i find out the device ID of one of my "In use" devices? I cannot see it listed in the client. I would like to kill off the rest of the clients.

(No, i cannot find out which are the newest one via API as devices have been on RMA, replaced with loaner, and then the original one has been returned etc)

You did not read the question properly. (I have the tool)

I want to check my physical device to see which ID i should remove from HC2. I have several "Jajo's iPad" and about half a dozen "D5803" in HC2. But only one of each is physically in my posession.

    Or said another way.

I have five DS5803 listed under Mobile devices in HC2.

I have one DS5803 in my hand.

Which four should i remove from HC2?

As far as I concern if name of device is the same in all cases there is not direct way to do that. Just some workarounds, like sending push and seeing which one gets it.

Remove all and login using your mobile to get the new device id

Close the fibaro app, change the name of the device to something unique, reopen the fibaro app. The name in the hc2 will be updated so you can see which one to keep.

Works for iPads and iPhones not sure about android devices

    Cheers

May i suggest actually being able to display that info in the Mobile clients?

Does not work. The android client has full access to HC2 after reboot. And i can control stuff. But it does not get listed in mobile devices any more.

    Worked for iOS. Not Android.
