HC Event log

Hi,

 

I can't get the event log to be functional. Its rather useless.

Eg. today id like to check when my front door was opened/closed yesterday between 12-2PM.

But i can't.

 

- The event filter keeps changing back to other date time then that i use as filter.

 

For how long are the events stored?

Events are stored up to certain number of them. We are aware of some UI bugs related to browsing history, you can look up history with API if you struggle to do that conventional way. Use this url:

Any chance we could se an export function so say we could make on log file pr month?

I don't agree! This problem is not browser related since I have tested on many different computers/browsers.

 

- Cant change "to Date" to be past in time -> Changes back to present day and end of day time

- Cant change "from date/time" -> Changes back to some "other" date time. Yesterday?

 

Event log is very critical since its the whole idea with home automation, to see what happened to my home...

I did not mean that it is a browser issue, but a problem with browsing through history itself, and we have a bug raised in that matter.

I got two systems, one at home and one at my beach house. The main difference is the timespan. At home I seldom look back in the log for more than a day or so, at my beach house sometimes in the winter I would like to look back and search a much longer period. I would hope this (to be able to log the complete history) was an easy thing for Fibaro to offer

Any update to have an export function to log all events of the HC2 to an external webservice / DB to do own analytics?

I was also wondering if there is a way to see when a door was opened (and closed) before the last time. It is still not possible in the GUI as far as I can see. It should be a nice new feature to see some history for this.

 

I've tried to do it with the URL that is provided: http://hc2_ip_address/api/panels/event?last=100&type=id&deviceID=YOUR_DEVICE_ID

But that is not easy because of the unixtime conversion.

 

Is there a way to ask for a feature request?

It's crucial to check for some events, but current implementation makes it not possible.

 

Any workaround?
