I just bought a couple of this to use in my irrigation, i would like to have a 12V dc on in and take it out on Q1 and Q2

so i put my 12v adapter on in and its ok.

But when i measure the voltageon Q1 its about 19V.

and when i measure the adapter its about 13v

Cant this be used like FGS-221?

There is nothing about secondary power in the manual as in FGS-221

Edit: in HC2 it shows as a FGS-221 Switch 2x1,5 kW eu

Interesting question. I would have thought them to be identical... But I like you read this in the manual:

FGS-221: 110 - 230 V AC ±10% 50/60Hz or 24-60V DC ±10%

FGS-222: 110 - 240V ~ 50 - 60Hz

Indeed, the newer version has lost a DC specification. But anyway, you are talking about 13 or 19 V so that doesn't meet the requirements of the 221 either (24 VDC). Unfortunately, I don't have one to try it.

Can't you put the relay indoors? Give it 230V on L and N, then use 12 V for your sprinkler on the relay (In QA Q2)? The relay contacts are separate from the power supply of the module, in accordance with EU directive for low voltage.

    Sorry for my bad explanation,

    I got 230v to L and N, then i got 12V adapter + on In on the FGS-222

When i measure the output on Q1 and negative on the adapter i got around 19V, from a 13v dc adapter,
    how is that possible?

Ah! I see! Okay... That's 99% sure because you are using a digital voltmeter with a very high input voltage. You probably don't own a digital voltage tester, otherwise you would have used that

But to be on the safe side, its beter to be a cautious electrician than to be a dead electrician.

Here comes an old school trick. Do you have a spare incandescent lamp (no led!)? 230V anything from 5W to 60W? And a spare socket? Then put wires to it and connect the lamp AS IF it was your sprinkler. Now you can measure with your voltmeter what the lamp gets... in on and off position.

To summarise: 12V adapter + on IN on the FGS-222. Q1 to LAMP. LAMP to 12V adapter -.

Jolly good! I'll join you with the beer. Maybe I indulge in a nice Westmalle trappist.

So Fibaro guys what module should i have to my irrigation when FGS-222 doesn't handle DC like FGS-221?

FGS-221 i banned in Sweden so i cant get one.

    Dear Sir,

I apologize for misunderstanig, my oversight.

To the FGS-222 you can not connect DC power supply.

    Best regards

Why is this option gone in FGS-222, alternative powersupply?

Why not buy from somewhere else in Europe?

I suspect that they can't comply to CE standard if using different powersourses. That was one of the original complaints, conducting parts of different sourses were to close and may create leaks. And they may not be able to admit that for legal reasons.

I think it's best practice to keep voltages < 50 V, that power applications that can be "touched" under certain conditions, especially under damp or wet conditions, far away from 230 V. If I remember well, I was told at school that 12 mm was the minimum (creepage) distance. I've tried to find the exact number but I got lost in European law

Is anything wrong with using the FGS-222 to switch a power supply or transformer (that conforms to minimum creepage distance between primary and secondary) and then drive the sprinklers? You would install both indoors and run a 12 or 24 V line under the lawn?

There is also the Qubino Flush 1D which supports DC operation. If HC2 supports it I don't know.
