Sorry Malvin, what do you mean by that? That this is not possible or?

What i meant is that you are trying to use 4 switches to control your dimmer?

For example it can be connected like in the attached image.

Ok, so he tried it, and it is not working properly.

It works untill all the switches are on. When he switch any of those 4 off, there is no more power for dimmer and it can not be controlled by fibaro anymore. This is the way he had it connected.

    Any ideas?

Connecting it this way you disconnect Dimmer from the power source, so it won't work properly.

I'd like to add that it can cause malfunctioning of other devices too. The mains powered devices form a mesh network. If one is down, it weakens the mesh. While Z-Wave has ways to work around that, it adds delay to the processing of messages.

Here's my idea, based on my experience. I'd replace the switches with push buttons. Or double push buttons, but then you'll have to add a wire (probably, difficult to tell without the exact schematics & wires available in the boxes) . All buttons in parallel, one wire to S1 and the other to L1. If you use double push buttons you can use S2 to trigger scenes on a HC2. I have this running over +/- 7 meters of wiring but I think someone from fibaro warned me that around 10 - 15 meters can cause the pickup of noise, making the switching unreliable. To be tested.

Alright, I have some answers, and that scheme from you jbarnas is not probably possible, as the L comming to first switch is 6 meters away from N in the last switch. So there is possibly no way to connect it this way. so I guess we wont find a solution right? Anyway what about that parameter 17 ? Can that help somehow?

The schematic from jbarnas in post #7 is correct and should work without problem. The one you posted in post #9 however was just not going to work. The 6 meters are not important so just follow the schematic as posted in post 7 and it should. Another option would be to set the dimmer parameters for monentary switch and conencting all thne switches in parallell as if they were just one.

    Hi,

Please find attached wiring diagram that works perfectly with either dimmer, or relay for your purpose.

If you look better, you recognize, that the whole section of switches acts as one toggle switch at the end, so keep the parameter for toggle switch checked.

Simply find the (beginning) switch, where the ceiling lamp is connected, and install the dimmer into.

Guys thank you all very much. The problem is there is no way for him to connect L and N to the dimmer directly. So he need to take it from the switch. But he understands that this is the limit of his instalation, so i guess he is alright. But still, thanks
