Playing with VD, need som help in lua

Hello All,

 

I am playing and appreciating the virtual devices stuff in HC2. I've done some basic very simple thing as i am not familiar with codig. I did some remote for all my lights, and blinds to be used on my tablet and phones. very usefull.

 

Here are the questions :

Is there any way to code lua in order to get the status of the device on the button? i.e. i turn on livingroor light and i would like to the relative button to show somethiing like "ON", it would be very usefull to know the status of the devices in VD modules.

 

I guess i have to play with getvalue and lables, anyone as some basi simple example about it, if ever possible.

 

I thing would be even better to change the button ico.. but i don't thing is possible.

 

If somebody has experience i would like to know more about "getvalue" and "getstatus" examples to build other VD that shows, in example, temperature fo all the rooms....
