HC2 via VPN ?

Can I control a HC2 via VPN (2 FritzBoxes), browser-adress e.g. "192.168.11.200" ?

if you configure your vpn correctly it will be no issue.

I always use vpn. No problem and probably faster as well since there are no Polish servers in between.

Even the apps work via vpn's, obviously the preferred way to go.

Do you always first manually connect to VPN before opening the HC2 app?

I am using the OpenVPN protocol, but I could not find an always-on function for non-rooted Android phones.

I always first make a VPN connection and then open the Fibaro app.

With OpenVPN for Android I can set the option "Reconnect on reboot". Maybe this helps in the most situations. Also when internet connection change it reconnects automatically.

However, when you are connected to VPN it drains the battery of your phone (at least on my phone).

Thanks! I'm checking that option.

I see that there is also an option to pause the connection when the screen is blank to save battery. That might help...
