Remove a broken device from HC2/zwave

Question

Posted

Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but i couldn't find the answer on the forum.

I have two broken zwave modules that i need to remove from my HC2.

I have read that if i press the remove button (X) on the device itself it only deleted the GUI component but not the zwave part of the device, is this correct?

How do i completely remove a broken module from my HC2, obviously devices->add/remove is not an option since the module is broken and does not respond anymore.

Thanks!

Peter

Deleting device by "X" removes it from HC2, not only from user interface.

    thanks for the quick response!

So the difference between the X and the device->remove is that the last also 'unconfigures' the module/plug?

Yes, deleting module by devices->remove, also removes module from the Zwave network globally. It means that you will be able to add it to the next Zwave network without reset. It will be like adding a brand new module.
