Mainloop error - not seen this before and don't understand!

Question

Posted

Hi All,

I have got this maintop error when debugging code (code which works perfectly in a button in same VD by the way):

[ERROR] 13:35:53: line 85: Expected value but found T_END at character 1

I have no idea what issue is as error is on this line, which is v simple:

local count = 0;

Any ideas why? Again, code works fine in button.

PS Forgot to mention, all my code is doing is using net.Fhttp to get event information via api and then, essentially, just update label.values with info from the json brought back from api. As said, works like a charm doing this within a button in the same VD, but as soon as I put it in the mainloop to update every 1 second it gives this error and doesn't update anything.

    AH, my stupidity, found error.

    For anyone who's interested, in the VD I took the code from I had the IP:Port set as 127.0.0.1:11111 (loopback) where it doesn't need authentication. However in the one where I put the code in mainloop I didn't have this and effectively error was due to it needing authentication on net.fhttp call. So, as soon as I added the loopback, it worked fine. Otherwise I could have just added authentication/error checking.
