FIbaro Window/Door Sensor FGK-101 suddenly blinking fast without stopping

Since two days I have seen something strange at one of my door sensors.

During the night (it is installed in my sleeping-room) I wake up because of a blue blinking led.

This comes from the window sensor.

It just started during the night and blinked about three times per second unless I open (or close) the window.

Than it is fine. But in the next night this happened again.

The battery is fine, is was included properly too.

It also gives the right status (open or closed) to the HC2 (version 3.60).

What might be the problem? Or what does it even mean if this device is blinking rapidly for a long time during normal usage.

The event history does not show anything besides the one closing or opening what I have done.

I had a similar problem when I first installed a door sensor, mine was more of a continus slow blinking, I ended up resetting the device and then adding it back into HC2.

PS, any reason you are still running V3.x?

The blinking was rather fast (and really annoying in a dark rom

I only stops when I close/open the window (change state).

That is the only sensor that has this problem (or where I have seen it).

I will try a reset and reinclude.

As long as I read about problems with 4.x I am afraid of doing an update.

And right now I don't have any device yet that needs 4.x (but I am planning to buy some).

Normally fast blinking would mean that device is not added to Z-wave network, which is obviously not case in your concern. What is version of D/W Sensor? It is mentioned in the interface.

    The version is 2.1.

It also blinks when I disconnect it from the window (just lay it down somewhere).

After about 15 seconds it stops blinking (for some time, that this occurs again).

Is it possible that the tamper button is not properly pressed (it might change its status about being pressed suddenly sometimes)?

I have send this module back for warranty.

    Tamper was not the reason.
