Dimming led lamps

Question

Posted

I have a setup of several led lamps (12V) that are currently planned as current - Meanwell 709-PWM90-12 220V/transfo/12V - 1-10V dimmer - lamp. Is it possible to dim these with the dimming module somehow, or should I place and RGBW-module behind the transfo and steer each lamp circuit with an R, a G,.. ? Thank you for the help.

There are transformers that works perfectly with Dimmer 2, usually ones described as dimmable. For example we had good experiences with EMC YT series (EMC YT-150, YT-250 etc.) transformers series. But it highly depend on transformer itself and its construction.

I think you can not use Fibaro FGD-212 dimmer with the Mean Well 709-PWM90-12 Power supply:

Fibaro FGD-212 is not an 0-10V or 10V PWM or "resistance" dimmer as requared.
