Hi,

I have a light switch that has a small LED light on it. Will this switch works with Fibaro relay or dimmer module?

Thanks!

Norphos: Who should be able to answer that question? You are not saying what manufacturer, what type of Switch it is (toggle, single etc.pp). Best is you describe what you want to use it for and paste a link with the technical Details of this Switch here in the Forum...Then you might get help...

I can only guess, that this is not an LED, rather a small neon bulb.

We really do NOT recommend to install such switch to the inputs of the Dimmer 2. It will not work properly with the Dimmer, but will do no harm if You already installed this.

Just use other switch without neon bulb inside. Probably the same with Relay switch.

Why not? The same as if You try to install small LED light with this switch, you can notice that it will flash or be dimmed but never turned off. Those switch do not provide electrical isolation, so the circuit is permanently closed (Dimmer/RollerShutter/Relay button switched on)

Have a nice day.

It is possible to use switches with light indicators with relays. In fact I've got working such combinations all right - it needs re-wiring of those light indicators, though.

Just like noname said I would not recommend using it with a dimmer. And due to re-wiring it's questionable even with a relay. If possible use normal switch without any light indicator.

Hey Hoomee,

Do you have a diagram of how you wired it with a Fibaro relay?

hi Hoomee, I am trying to add a fibaro relay to control my water storage heater. the water heater toggle switch usually comes with a red light that when the power is turned on.

is there a momentary switch with a led indicator in the market? how can I wire the relay in order to achieve my objectives?

    thanks!

Sorry for not responding earlier - I was (and still am) new at the forum and haven't figure out before how to find the topics I replied to.

By re-wiring I meant actually connecting the status light to the real (working) circuit instead of wall switch circuit (which is its factory status).

So generally speaking the status light bulb is separately powered by fibaro switch, which requires some ... handicraft work.

I think you'd be better off just installing a separate indicator light for the heater.
