Testing scene / code more quickly

Question

Posted

Hello,

Is there a way to test some code more quickly than opening the scene, bring modifications, save, change tab and click start ?

I have two different "use-case":

  1. Testing code to see if it actually works (syntax-wise) or just to fetch an information like sunrise, device value, etc.
  2. Saving code inside a scene and avoid having to wait for page refresh, change tab and click start

Thank you!

There is sort of. I've been looking for a unit testing library for Fibaro. There are some fantastic ones focused on vera's extensions, but so far I haven't found anything for Fibaro. I've searched github and Google, nothing. I am pretty surprised, I'd be astonished if there wasn't something in-house?

Of course I'm relatively new to the platform.

maybe someone here can suggest an existing library?

Workflow? Automated builds? I haven't worked that out either. I have a slick hack for pushing on the other platform. Run unit tests, if it all passes, scp files, pull and zero logs, finally restart the services. I'd imagine something close would work with the hc2.
