Harmony Plugin, use devices?

I saw that you can add the new plugin (harmony) and it's AWESOME!

The only thing is that you can only see the activities, is there a way that we can also control the devices separately?

I got the same issue...I can see and assert my "Activities" but cannot use them in eg "Block scenes". I have the "Harmony Smart Control" witch is the hub and a simple remote. Can it be that there are different hubs?

I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong but is it not possible to automate the Harmony plugin through block scenes? This seems to be typical Fibaro. Same with Sonos plugin as well. Please understand that I already have a remote or a dedicated app for controlling my media devices. The only reason I would like Fibaro integration is to be able to automate. Sometimes Fibaro feels like going back 15 years in time and having 7 remotes in front of you. Please Fibaro when you develop plugins let us use easy and graphical setup processes. Not all your customers can program in LUA.

Harmony is not available with block scenes so far, sorry. Only Lua scenes can utilize our plugins right away.

Yes, a LUA example would be very good,please provide. I´m not a programmer myself, but with good examples and the "HC2 Block scenes to LUA-convertor" I can do some programming.

Thanks. I have a problem with the hub connection with the HC2. After some days the conneciton is gone (hub is not connected the HC2 says), after I remove the device and re-add it, it works again... any idea? The hub is working with apps etc etc but sometimes not with the HC2

How do I know the activity ID? I cant find it anywhere. So I can Use it with Virtual Device

Hi Fibaro

I have now installed and tested the Harmony Hub with LUA, and I agree with the author of this thread Frakke that we should be able to assert commands on devices. Being able to assert activities only is very limiting. Every activity start with an "on command" and finishes with an "off-command". I would like to send other commands.

 

Also, I would like to combine the "IR-device commands" with my Fibaro devices. E.g. power TV-consumption can verify that the TV has been turned on, otherwise I´d like to resend the on command.

 

So Fibaro, would you please consider implementing access to commands of the Harmony devices?

So far Logitechs home lineup only supports US frequencies. I do not believe Fibaro will support it imminently since ut is not for all regions.

This is not actually true, The Harmony plugin does not use ON Off it uses change activity state, which is not so good. It means that if you create a scene or create a virtual device to turn off a Harmony activity and the activity is actually running you end up turning it on and not off.

Is there any update to control individual devices on the Harmony Hub via HC2?

 

Working with activities is not helpful. I would like to just send individual commands to individual devices, e.g. TV Power ON or OFF. So that I can create a remote control using a virtual device @ my HC2. The above quoted code
