Removing devices

Hopefully someone can help me out on this one:

I am having a bunch of 'old' devices in my unassigned section, which I no longer physically have access to. I have tried/tested them etc.. And I no longer have them here.

So, I would like to delete them from my HC2. When I click the X (top right corner) it seems to be deleting them, but later they turn out to still be there!

 

In the log I get errors like:

 

'[00:02:18] ID 72: NOP sending succeeded. The device has not been removed. Please use Learning Mode to remove it.'

 

..I understand I can exclode nodes, but in this case I cannot, as the devices are no longer here..

How do I get rid of them in my HC2 web interface?

This message means something opposite: it was possible to connect to device since NOP frames (kind of ping in Z-wave network) passed. So devices are still there. You should locate them and delete through exclusion mode. You can also try to decrease range of controller (take it somewhere far from device) so the NOP will fail.

I stand corrected indeed. The device is still there.

This is a FIbaro RGBW module, which added like this when I tried to add it.

Obviously not right, so I tried re-adding it again, which worked. I have it now in my HC2 as ID82 and it is working perfectly.

 

However, it seems to be in double now..? So succesful as ID82, but wrongly as 72(see above).

 

Any suggestions on what to do?

DO they have the same node ID? Not ID, but z-wave connected node id. You can power off the RGBW and remove it with cross.

Powering it off sounds like a very logical solution which I could have thought of myself too..

Powering it off did not do the trick; still the same message, while the rgb sensor in question most definately does not have power anymore..

Any other suggestion, or should I completely exclude the node from my zwave network and include again?

Are you 100% positive that this is the right device you try to exclude? I have never seen anything like that, HC2 is simply checking if this device responds to ping and if it does proper message is displayed. Maybe consider just hiding this device in the interface so it does not bother you? So you can avoid making some mistake when excluding wrong device.
