Dimmer 2, Fig. 4 connection

Hi,

in dimmer 2 manual there is fig4. connection with 3 way switchis. IT looks far to easy to work properly right? 

 

So the connection seems to be only as a 4th switch. But there is no L and N lead to the dimmer 2. Can this really work?

The load, L and N connections have been left out for clarity but should be the same as for the previous configurations. The picture only shows the connections of the switches.
