Hello is to install the smoke alarms with 24vdc power insted of battery, but in my Four new alarms is no terminals, is that normal or do i have to buy some? If i have to buy what type are the wire terminals?

The first series of smoke alarm had terminals for an external supply. The second generation can only work on batteries. It has to do with regulations.

What manual are you refeing to? Are you sure it is manual for right version? Sorry to hear about this confusion, I only would like to make sure manuals are not misinforming.

It is this manual there is in the case.

It will say that it can't be powered with 24vdc? Thougth the small holes beside the battery was to put wire terminal into?

This is manual for the old version indeed, if you look at model number you will see it is for FGSS-001, while version you bought is called FGSD-002. I am sorry for the mistake, but there were no other way to mark this device more visibly. These holes are kind of leftover from the older version and do not serve any purpose. Have you fond this manual online or was it attached to your device?

I was just typing the same... Indeed, if you remove the mount of the sensor, directly below the battery, it surely reads " SMOKE SENSOR FGSD-002 EU"?

I have a nagging question. The title of this topic is "fgss-001 gen. 5". Fibaro's FGSS-001 is not a "Gen5" device. But the FGSD-002 is indeed Z-Wave Plus! How did you come up with the strange combination of old product number and newer "Gen5"? Did someone advertise it as being "Gen5"?

Can I ask you about the date of production? It should be on a sticker on the box. I am sorry for the confusion.
