Hello Forum!
Yesterday evening the dimmer FIB_FGD-21 stopped working after a couple of weeks. It was not in use much because it is located in the basement.
When I looked it up this morning I saw that it was burned. It was installed by a professional electrician and was working fine for a couple of weeks in my new house.

I have about 100 modules in use - thanks god only 2 dimmers. But I get nervous - do not want to burn down my new house.

I do not know the type of load Dimmer was hooked up to, if it was not pure resistive load (as this is desired load for Dimmer 1) I would recommend replacing this unit with Dimmer 2.

It was connected to a LED stripe approx. 40W. The LED stripe could not be dimmed with the Fibaro module - it was just to switch it on and off.

I replaced now the dimmer with a FIBEFGS-222 switch.

Let us see how long it will last ...

Since electronic transformer that managed LED is not an resistive load it could have caused increased heat emittance. Maybe consider RGBW controller in that place?

is it going to be OK with the one that Mib is using - "LED stripe approx. 40W" especially if it is a dimmable led strip? Someone tested it already?
