Loosing connection to HC2

Question

Posted

Since 4.054 I´ve had problems with the network connectivity of my HC 2. I have a wall mounted ipad with Fibaro app running all the time, so it´s pretty clear when this happens since the app pops up a "connection lost" message.

I never had this problem before, and I have rebooted all network devices such as routers. And I have no problems with any other devices.

From what I can see, the HC 2 doesn´t restart since the uptime still counts correctly. But the network led turns off and flashes from time to time.

The only other hardware issue I have come up with is to replace the ethernet cable to HC2, but that didn´t help either.

On top of this, I´ve disabled all lua scenes with any kind of loops or timers without any improvement. And the CPU usage seems ok.

Any ideas?

How do you check uptime if there is no access? Does it come to normal operation after restart? Can it be that HC2 gets static IP when it happens? Please check it, since diodes behaviour suggests it.

Hi,

I've a similar problem and no idea. HC2 isn't reachable and only a hardware reset helps. I remark that it's not ok, because I have an automatic light switching with a DÜWI ZS 3500 and it doesn't switch any longer when the programmed time is reached - feels like a blue screen PC.

Is there any idea ?

It is only unreachable for a couple of minutes, then it gets back online.

Will try to look at the LEDs, not that easy though since it happens randomly from what it seems.

Have you checked the static IP thing I suggested?

I always use a static IP outside the dhcp range.

Will try to investigate a bit further this weekend if the kids let me

Any updates on this specific topic. I'm experiencing the same thing with my HCL running 4.054.

Network led goes out.. HLC unreachable.. only way to recover seems to be a power cycle.

Running with static ip, and trust me i've checked all there is to check when it comes to networking

Removed all my relevant scenes and re-wrote them. Not sure what fixed the problem though.
