FGS-212 not responding

it worked fine for months to switch on/off a lamp (low consumption, energy saving lamp), suddenly it was marked as dead in my HCL.

Did power cycle it, no change

Manually pushing the lamp switch won't switch on/off the lamp either. So it does not route power anymore either.

Pushing the button 10s on the module also has no effect.

 

Visual inspection of the module does not show any signs of burn/melt etc, still looks as new.

It also does not smell burnt.

Cables all look perfectly normal.

No clicky sound to be heard when I try to trigger it.

I did not see any light on the inside, but I can check again, not sure when I am supposed to see some light (green/blue/red) on the inside.

 

Anything else I can try?

 

My other FGS-212 modules (and other Fibaro shutter modules) all work fine!

It was bought & installed in April 2015.

 

If I have to RMA it, has Fibaro their own RMA service, or do I have to send it back to the vendor (eBay, which could be a headache)?

There is no LED indicator in FGS-221. If it does not work while activated with switch manually nor can be excluded and included to controller and you are sure that connection is right you can only return it to warranty. Support will assist you in that matter, you can send device directly to us.

I will already buy a replacement now as I have more Fibaro projects planned in my house, so I will use the replacement module elsewhere

doh, I checked it today to take it out and it is an FGS-212 "EU v2.2" model, not a 221

 

Does this one have a led on the inside?

ok, module sent back for RMA to Poland this morning, hopefully I'll get a new one soon.
