Fibaro Smoke Sensor - beeping with new battery

Question

Posted

Hello,

I have seven fibaro smoke sensors (yes, it was the worst decision of my life). The last 6 weeks they were working fine, but now I have two smoke sensors that are saying that the battery is empty (and yes, beeping every 30 minutes). I have tried several NEW batteries, but still it gives the beep and show in the HC2 that the battery is empty. I did a soft configure, but it still shows an empty battery. Anybody an idea what is wrong? I have tested two brands (one Duracell, other unknown brand) of batteries, but the device still saying it's empty.

I have the same to this.

I managed to get it solved by deleting the device from the Fibaro hc2, resetting the smoke sensor and including back to the Fibaro.

Worked AOK after that:)

Hope it help,

Hal

I have had issues with some of my smoke sensors (12 in total divided between my two houses w/HC2). I have also experienced the issue with smoke sensors continuing to beep with a new battery installed. You may try just to ignore it. At one time I just gave up and after a day or so the problem just disappeared.
