I have this device (All devices are in my signature). Is there something wrong? I'd swear it has triggered the light when I opened the garage yesterday.

Ah, OK! I'm not sure if you saw the difference between this and a regular door sensor. A door sensor will say: "open" as soon as you have a 2 cm gap. But the ZG uses tilt, so it will detect open and close much later. My unscientific method says: "almost fully open" when opening and "far from closed" when closing.

  • this is totally fine. I intend to use it is scene to notify me when open for too long since... my wife has a tendency to leave the garage door open, which invite all kind of animals in: mice, cats even pheasants and deers
