Have you tried manually waking up the sensor? Make sure that the button on the bak is held in while you click the internal button 3 times

And the door/window should be open when you replaced the battery.

I tried to wake up the sensor and the door was open for battery replacement.

The sensor alerts the still low battery

    I had the same problems.

I have resolve the issue by resetting and re-install the device.

Probably as the battery is empty, the device is partly reset trough the magnet on the door and opening the door keeps the device in the resetmode.

Therefore you have to  complete the resetmode en reinstall (after delete the device).

I have the same problem. Opened the door, switched the battery and the sensor is working fine but the battery status isn't updated. Deleting and adding the one sensor is fine even though updating scenes and scripts sucks. I have many sensors in operation and I'm not looking forward to changing all those batteries...

Either they disappear and need to be deleted and re-added or this battery issue arises. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Has anyone ever managed to change battery in one of these without any issues?

my experience with all battery driven devices is that you have to be really close to the HC2 so that the battery Status and all the values are transmitted correctly...

One example - I add a battery device to the HC2 10 meters away from the System. Only half of the values are transmitted and the battery value is low. I exclude the device and next time I move very Close to the HC and include it again. Suddenly all values get transmitted properly including the battery Status --- 100%

Don' ask me why.... just my oberseervation.

I haven't had issues with replacing batteries in these. As soon as battery is shown as low I replaced the batteries making sure that the door was open. After this did a wake up of the device and the battery status updated
