Heating with virtual devices

Question

Posted

Hi All,

I have a heating system in my house with radiator valves and wall thermostats. I managed to integrate it with HC2 via virtual devices. The virtual device labels are updated every second, so is the status (if it is on manual, automatic, vacation mode)

Using a http server i can get all the info from the devices like actual temperature, set temperature, mode, valve opening, battery status, etc (using http get commands)

My question is about the virtual device:

1. Is it possible to have a + and a - button inside a virtual device?

2. Can anyone give me some examples of how to program a slider? I can send http get commands to my thermostats that raise or lower the temp by 0.5 degrees. I'd like to integrate that into a slider with limits from 15 to 30 degrees and also show where the slider is at (so i don't move in blindly)

Thank you very much
