Newbie - triggering scenes from single relay switch

Question

Posted

Hi,

I'm new to this, so please be gentle with me  :->.

I've got a 2.5K relay which of course has two switch inputs. However I don't actually want the switch inputs to control the relay itself. How can I assign each of the switch inputs to control a scene?

I can't seem to see how I can find out the ID of each switch and then assign that to be a trigger for a scene.

Hope someone can help.

Many thanks,

Roland

S1 always controls the relay. Always.

How do I get to use S2?

    Thanks,

I don't have the exact same device so I'm going to be a bit vague. I'm 99% sure you can't see it in graphic scenes, because by default it's hidden. You go to "Devices", click on S1. And then you select the slave that belongs to S2 (probably the last one). Click on it. Now give it a meaningful name, put it in the room where it belongs and on the advanced tab, uncheck "This device is hidden in the system.". Now the device should show up on the "Your House" page. That makes it available for selection in the "graphics" editor. If you wan't to know how it's done in lua, make a meaningful graphic scene and convert it to lua.
