Alarm question

Question

Posted

Dear all, hopefully you can guide me here.

I have setup an ipad on the wall, which I use at night to turn on the alarm, right before I go to bed.

This ipad is in sight of a Fibaro motion sensor, which is included in the alarm as well.

As a result of this, whenever I enable the alarm, I get a popup saying there is movement (which makes sense; I am standing in front of the Ipad)

I can click 'accept and skip'(or something like that) after which the countdown till activation starts as configured.

My questions:

- What exactly does this 'accept and skip' mean? 'Skip the warning'? or 'don't arm this module for this time'? or...?

- Idealy I would like to leave out the warning and have my HC2 to force the status of the motion sensor to 'not breached' as soon as the 60s countdown for activation of the alarm have passed. Can I do this and if so, can someone please tell me how in detail?

Thanks in advance for your great support!

If you chose "skip and arm" then the sensor will be armed and the use of the message is just to inform you that a sensor is breached. It's really useful, say when you have forgot to close a window/door. There's no point in arming a sensor if it's already breached

I understand the purpose of this, but in a scenario as I describe it's rather obsolete.

The ipad is mounted on the wall in the living room, when I get off the couch to go to sleep I enable the alarm.

While moving around in the living room I normally am moving around stealth ninja, but not when I'm almost falling asleep and going upstairs.. Then I do get noticed by the sensor

    Any solution?

Set the sensor to be armed with delay, say 60s. Should be enough to ninja yourself to the bedroom
