Trying to get the highest device id, but cannot get this to work.

Anyone got suggestions?

As far as I know there is no property value named "id" !

May I suggest to use "dead" property, it's exist and valid for every device in HC2. 

In addition, I don't think your statement - " if (deviceID == not nil) then" will work either, please use

if (deviceID ~= nilthen

    That's a good solution. You can also find the highest device ID in YouHC2IP\docs.
    And, specially if you have removed many devices, it is faster to run the "for" backwards and break the loop when the first device~=nil is found:
