How are obsolete data deleted?

Question

Posted

Hi

I know Fibaro HC2 is a powerful System.

But each system has its Limits.

I have searched in the forum for data reorganization.

But nothing is found.

Are there any functions for the deletion of old (event-)data?

Or that happens automatically? If yes how?

Thanks for your answers!

Don't worry about that.

Linux based systems delete old data by itself using CRON.

Also database engine should be have a scheduler to purge them.

I do not believe that. A user wants to cancel its data 5 years. Another user wants to cancel his data for 2 years. I have spent several years working with Linux systems. That would be a disaster if a machine without instruction would delete important data.
It may be that it exists a Delete-CRON-Plan.
    But how does this plan.
Can I determine how long my data will be saved yourself?

Or should the only set Fibaro Leaders?

    "Should"...

I have not seen something about that written somewhere... But my event log contains data of the last 5 months and 1 week.

But I don't know if it should be like this or if this is a bug or if something else happened.
