Fibaro Dimmer - UK - 2-Wire System - Users Experience?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, I have been using the Fibaro in wall dimmer and have the problem that has been mentioned all over the place (unless you set parm10 to zero you'll get a malfunctioning module).

Now I'm being told by Fibaro that it's my wiring, although I've read somewhere it's actually fixed with a firmware update. So my question is to UK users of this module who are running it on a 2-wire system: Do you have this problem with newer modules that have the new firmware (or v2) ?

If this is the case they're advertising it as working in a 2-wire system without noting that this would be a side effect.

As a second question. Has anyone actually added in a Neutral wire to their switches and how much of a pain/cost is it?

Thanks

C

Erm. So communicating with Fibaro is like "Insert lots of swear words".
However I've gone back and forth with a well respected reseller trying to solve the issue and they've informed me that their tests have found a bug in the association groups and that if I remove any hardware association to other devices other than the controller everything works perfectly. Fibaro however deny that this is a problem and tell me this is the normal operation. Ermmm. No it's not...

I've now removed the association to another dimmer and everything is fully functioning, although I've now lost the associations.

Come on everybody, I've read over the years of people's frustrations with this company, is there not others still miffed?

    Thanks

    C
