Hi all, new to Fibaro and the forum.

Move from Vera to Fibaro, updated the whole system and am not sure I am very happy at the moment.

Can't seem to get things to work as I want.

I bought a HCL controller.

I made a setup with 1x FGD-211 dimmer as activator of 2 scenes 'Living ON' and 'Living OFF'

I made a global variable to check the state of the scenes ON or OFF (which I set in each respective scene).

Before starting the scene, I check on 'scene activation == 16' and this variable.

If I check both scenes as 'active scene', my lights keep turning on and off all the time, regardless of the variable check.

If I set the scene as not 'active scene'. Clicking the momentary switch does nothing but control the dimmer.

What I want to achieve is that with 1 click of the momentary switch, my living room turns ON or OFF depending on the scene state.

What am I doing wrong?

Are you able to convert to LUA and provide the code?

Same for me - I have a quite similar scenario handled by 2 scenes:

- when switch is clicked I do check if any of the lights is on - if so, then turn everything off

- when switch is clicked and nothing is on the main light goes on

example is attached.

Final effect: lights go on and off in circles. It is like the dimmer keeps remembering scene activation and does not "clear" the status when event gets handled.

I found one clue: the scene activation parameter - the very one that keeps number of the scene based on number of clicks - is just a parameter to hold recent value. to properly set scene activation condition we need to check also state change for the device itself. i'll test it in the evening.

Unfortunately I am using a HCL which doesn't support LUA.

It seems like a software problem in the controller.

Global variables should work, but they don't in the IF portion of a scene.

I reconnected the switch from S1 to S2 yesterday and now I can use 1-2-3-click scenes without any problem.

Still can't put 2 scenes on the 1-click function.

    Now:

    1-click: All ON

2-click: All OFF, without dimmer going to 100% first

Drawback: S2 does not control the dimming function of the dimmer, so the consequences is that I lost the momentary switch dimming functionality by doing this,.

    I've got a similar problem,

Installed 5 Dimmer 2's on a Fibaro Lite box with 4.057 beta.

Two of them have a momentary switch on S2, others have no button attached.

Made scenes so we could do all the lights on with one push on one of the switches and put all lights off with a hold the button on one of the switches.

I used the scene activation for this.

When I use on of the buttons it works fine, but when I put the lights on with one button and want to put them off with the other button the lights will go off and immediately on again.

It seems that the scene activation of the last on button is remembered.

    Fibaro, please address this issue!

Above is standard on any basic home-automation setup./

I could do this with my Vera-lite which is 5 years old...

Recently bought a 25+ module setup from Fibaro with a HCL and I am back to the z-wave-stone-age in regards of basic functionality.
