hi - how do you know your provider has blocked this ? seems odd, but not impossible - it may be to stop people running webservers for example

Anyway - you need to use port forwarding - download the manual for your router - its called Virtual Servers (section 4.12.1)

You need to know

1) your external IP address (go to google - type 'whats my ip' it will tell you your external IP - eg 50.50.50.50 as an example)

2) a port which your service provider doesnt block - eg TCP 1234 - example

3) your HC IP address - probably 192.168.x.y - for example 192.168.10.10.

below are the steps from the manual as to how to setup virtual servers - I have pasted in the example values - use the real values for more success

once you have done this, you should be able to browse to

and get to your HC

Items to note:

Your external IP may well change - you may wish to look into setting up DNS entries - but we will leave that for now

Your internal IP for your HC may change - if it is using DHCP- might be best to fix this to ensure the internal aspect of the port forwarding still works

Let me know how you get on

To setup a virtual server entry:
1. Click the Add New button. (pop-up Figure 4-63)
2. Select the service you want to use from the Common Service Port list. If the Common Service Port menu does not list the service that you want to use, enter the number of the service port or service port range in the Service Port field.  -- ENTER 1234
3. Enter the IP address of the computer running the service application in the IP Address field. - ENTER 192.168.10.10
4. Select the protocol used for this application in the Protocol drop-down list, either TCP, UDP, or All. - ENTER TCP
5. Select the Enabled option in the Status drop-down list.
6. Click the Save button.
