maximum set temperature for thermostat

Question

Posted

Hi all

I'm working on a project aimed to create a zwave system to control a bathtub.

The Idea is to modify a normal bathtube to add an autofill system (level and themperature).

I would like to present it integrated with fibaro system.... but it seems that fibaro interface didn't allow you to rise a thermostat temperature more than 30 Celsius.

Is this correct? Do you know how to workaround it?

I would need to set max 40 Celsius (38 is the max secure temperature for water)

Thanks to all.

Regards

probably better to go for a custom device and a plugin :/

I haven't looked into this myself, but have you tried to set the temp higher than 30C using LUA?

setting the device parameter is not a problem, i can set the temp ad 40C without issue, and is displayed...

but I can't let the mobile app or browser set it freely due to this interface limit.

My hot water is controlled by a scene i have several Universal sensor boards all with 4 temp sensors, one of them is in my hot water tank when the temp drops below 43 Deg then the hot water demand (via fibaro relay module ) is enabled for one hour

i would have thought you would want your bath at a preset temp ?

    Yes,

I'm setting a system to control bathtub filling and temperature.

I thing I'll going to use a wi-fi controller like arduino or rasberry... cause zwave interface are a little limited for non standard domotics.

    The Idea is to have:

    - temp sensor in the tub

    - 2 electrovalve for water (hot water and cold water.. the extra supply line is at the bottom of the tub with a single hole)

    - water sensor for the "FULL" level (we are discussing if is just a full-level sensor or a level sensor)

    - motorized drain stopper or another electrovalve (we are testing some product... but none works very well)

The Idea is to let the user set a temperature.. and enable the autofill of the tub...

then the system keep the temperature removing and adding hot water..
