Hi Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but cant find anything on rest of forum that is similar.

I recently installed a Fibaro Dimmer 2 on my landing lights and it is giving some strange behaviour. I have it so early evening it comes on at 80% brightness and then drops to 15% late evening. I have noticed this works sometimes but others the level seems to go to 99% no matter what the scene is set too! I have no scene that sets the lights to this level so cant see why it is happening. I noticed in the log is sets light on to 80% then 1 second later it goes to 99%. Before installing the Dimmer 2 I had the original Fibaro dimmer installed and had no issues.

I decided last weekend to remove all scenes for this device and found the light still had a mind of its own and if I set it to any level manually it would then jump to 99%. So then I did reconfiguration for device and then found every time i switched it on it turned straight off, so did a recovery and got light working again.

I have a smoke alarm in same room and see there are parameters to affect lights but none of these are set as far as i can see. If any one has any further suggestions would be appreciated?

Thanks

I think it might be related to other issues, like the ones mentioned here:

Please login or register to see this link.

If you have a firmware 3.2, and more than one switch connected to S1 and some meters between them, please contact [email protected]. They can tell if it's related or not. This version is more sensitive to this stuff than the older dimmer.

And if you have firmware 3.3, certainly contact support. It's less sensitive to stuff... So no idea what is going there.

It has many, many great features, but not in your particular circumstances... Not all users experience this, but that knowledge, of course, doesn't help you... Lets wait and see what support can do for you.
