Call Virtual Devices button by his ID

Question

Posted

Hi,

One suggestion,

In LUA,

when we want to refer to a label, we use the ID of the label :

Please login or register to see this code.

but when we want to refer to a button, me must enter his position in the VD :

Please login or register to see this code.

and this position # changes if we add other buttons or labels.

Why don't we make use of the button ID (like for label) ?

THANK YOU Fibaro to include this in one of the next versions of your firmware.

To guaranty the compatibility with the currents codes, if the third argument is a number, it refers to the position; if it is a string, it refers to the button ID.
