Hi. I have my Hot Water and CH controlled by HC2 at present. Hot Water is controlled with scenes where as the heating thru Heating Panel. However, there is no intelligence in this panel apart from it switching the heating on and off. So instead, I am going to get Nest installed and let it control heating and HW. So far, I have only seen 1 topic on the nest integration with HC2 but it is not in English. Has anyone done this here and if you know of the steps required to connect Hc2 to nest?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to get the nest plugin working with the nest v3. But the plugin doesn't seem to do anything. Let me know if you had more luck.

Nope.. so far.. its been very quiet on this front.. have not had any feedback from anyone.. which is kinda sad as I would like my Home Automation System to have certain amount of intelligence and if its not capable, interact with other systems which can help.. so far drawing blank on these..

I use nest v3 and got the plugin to work without problems. It's pretty straightforward as you only need to enter your nest acc credentials.

The plugin works but absolutely no flexibility regards using scenes etc... Poorly implemented in my opinion!

I am considering a Nest integration in my house in the next few months, has anyone had any tangible success? (Other than via IFTTT)

Unacceptable downtime and not a patch on my evohome honeywell setup! I sold my Nest!

I haven't experienced any downtime whatsoever, however I agree that the plugin is not great. Most of the things can be done either with IFTTT or json etc.

I did consider honewell - looks very good but would cost much more in my case so went with nest. Honewell is a great solution and it's like comparing apples with pears I guess.

I succesfuly integrated my Nest with HC2 (v.4.090) using plugin available for download in HC2 Plugins (v.1.0). It has been working for a while and then suddenly stopped.

Plugin displays last recorded temperature & humidity and Nest does not react to temperature adjustments on HC2 Plugin.

It is necessary to reboot HC2 to get the comms running again. Also if Nest is entered Away Mode from HC2 then it is not possible to exit from that mode on HC2. Once I exit Away mode on the Nest then HC2 keep reporting Nest in Away mode.

Also plugin seem to be written for Nest Gen 2 (Air Con + Heating) while mine is Gen 3 (Heating + Hot Water).

I hope to get the Virtual Device listed here:

modified to suit Gen3. It's disadvantage is that it requires PHP running server...

    Any help appreciated.

Same here. The plugin stopped working. It displays the last recorded temperature as the current setpoint and the auto away feature isn't working anymore either.

is there any update on the Nest v3 integration? Does it work smoothly with HCL or HC2??

Nope, no plugin yet... they say, they are working on it, experiencing difficulties in implementing the variaty of functions from NEST and they have a hard time solving that...
