Hi all,

I have a flood sensor and connected it to 12V. It looks like this is not working as it is still showing the battery icon. How can I see that this is running on power rather than on Battery ?

thanks !!!

Have you included it with DC powered? Or did you include it with batteries and changed connection afterwards?

I think I included it with battery only but why can this matter to run on 12v ?

It's the way Z-Wave was designed. When you include a device, it's either battery or mains powered. To change that, you have to exclude/include again. It has to do with power saving and routing. A battery device cannot route messages, because it's almost always asleep, to save power. A mains operated device acts as a router and will reinforce the mesh network.
