I just bought a Roller Shutter 2 FGR-222

I would like to know if there is a maximum distance to not exceed between the module and the connected switch.

In other words can I install the module next to the roller blind motor (and therefore 2m away from the control switch to which it will be of course connected) instead of the usual install of the module just behind the control switch ?

Thanks in advance.

I don't see why there would be any problem? If you already got the device you could try and mock it up?

Edit: I really don't understand why you think it will not work?

    Many thanks,

I thought it should work, but knowing very little in electronics I needed some reassurance.

    Thank you again.

I used 2x1,5 kW relay switches of TKB HOME and I had the long wire to the switches. The wires were 1,5 square mm (standard electrical wires for lights).

I could not make it working properly.

When I operated the switch connected to one circuit it was affecting the other circuits in the room. Eg I was switching on the light, then the ligt was on along with the fan. If I switched off the light, the fan was remained ON.  I used monostable switches.

There could be some induction between the wires as the switch wires and the power line were driven together.

When I replaced TKB HOME switches with FIBARO 2x1,5 kW  it was working perfectly with the same wiring.

So there is a really issue of the length of the switch wires for some modules of selected manufactures.

Since the wires are driven differently for each setup (different length, different neighbourhood of the power lines,...) the best is to test the certain setup by experiment.
